LAHORE: Quranic education – including Nazira and translation of the Holy Quran – has been made compulsory at schools and colleges of the Pakistan Railways (PR).
According to a notification on Wednesday, the decision has been taken under a new policy of the federal Ministry of Education. It was decided after a meeting between officials of the ministry and professor Farhan Ibadat Yaar Khan.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, teachers and parents of the Pakistan Railways’ institutions appreciated the decision.
