Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that prosperous, prestigious Pakistan is the dream of government while initiating the “Swift Incorporation System” under the New Companies’ Ordinance 2016.
Under the new system, the companies which apply for incorporation will be provided with the incorporation certificate within the same day.
Addressing a seminar organised by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad he said, “Pakistan wants to join international forum ‘Open Government Partnership’ for more accountability and transparency in government functions.”
He indicated that the government is also keen to be part of international Convention on Anti-bribery.
“Pakistan has already signed Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development convention on tax matters to check tax evasion, which will be operationalized in early 2018,” Dar said.
“All these measures vouch for the present government’s commitment to usher in transparency and good governance in Pakistan,” he added.
