KHYBER AGENCY: A number of tribesmen and social activists on Monday held a protest demonstration and took a rally against 22-hour long load shedding in Landi Kotal.
Akhter Ali, leader of Landi Kotal Falahi Tanzeem (LFT), led the protest demonstration in Landi Kotal. Besides dozens of LFT workers, a large numbers of local tribesmen participated in the protest demonstration.
The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against unannounced load shedding. They chanted slogans against the Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) officials and Landi Kotal grid-station’s staff. Speaking on the occasion, Akhtar Ali slammed the unscheduled power cuts in Landi Kotal. He said that Landi Kotal Bazaar and its outskirts were facing 22-hour long power cuts on a daily basis.
